Default Tools: Must haves.

Decided to take the seat off to look for the bike's paint code (not under there!) and also adjust the range of the Scorpio i-900 alarm's proximity sensor the dealer mounted under there. It's a bit too sensitive by default and was tripping at 5 feet, too close for a car parking next to the bike with some fat Americans who waddle too slow to escape its siren's wrath.

So what is with those two Torx screws under the seat that you need to fight to get aligned on the Torx driver? Jeepers! Thought I was going to tear the seat pulling it forward or cut it with the driver.

Luckily, I found a Wiha 25 degree Ball-Drive T-25 Torx driver in my kit to assist the struggle. Works good on the front body panel screw above the fender too.

Tip looks like this:

and it's on this page under the T25: Ball Torx Screwdrivers T9 To T30 Cushion Grips - 362 Series From Wiha

They also have some screw-holding Torx drivers. Not familiar with those yet. I have one of their longer T-25 Torx T-handle drivers and it fits the German screws very well with little slop.

Oh, no need to remove the seat's screw all the way and drop it someplace down below. It's a special shape too (no threads at the end, just the middle). Just loosen it up a lot and pull the seat up watching not to scratch the rear fenders plastic in the process.
