Default Adjusting throttle slack.

The BMW seems to have a typical jam nut/adjuster a few inches from the throttle for adjusting the slack. However, mine came with so much in it that I'm hesitant to keep unscrewing - it's going to come off soon.

Am I going to have to dig under the tank and adjust the other end at the throttle bodies? - because screw that, I'll have the dealer do it.

Sorry Kevin there is no adjustment on the other end,(throttle bodies)All your adjusting is on the cables at the top.

Why is there SOOOOO much slack? Very disconcerting a low speed. My Gixxer was bad too, but not quite as floppy as the beemer.

My issue is not the slack, but the return spring feels very strong, i feel like i keep having to roll my hand fwd to keep the throtle back. Anyone else?

I've heard of others having similar problems... they thought the grip was too slippery. I haven't had that problem at all... I have some gloves w/Kangaroo skin on the palms, so that probably helps a bunch... but you might think about different grips (or gloves)...

I wear the ICON TImax original. I might try to find some gel grips.

CrampBuster got me 500 miles pretty quick. Ugly though, but it works for what it is and is cheap. Still cannot take you hands off the throttle grip with it though.

ThrottleMeisters are next. Cold and vibes don't allow my fingers to get the brake lever feel after about an hour or two.

ThrottleMeisters are the bomb... had mine on most of the week... couple rides, definitely less vibration. Don't really need a throttle lock very much/often, but there are occasions where I (in the past) wished I had one. Not it's there. Kinda look at these as 1) good weighted bar ends 2) bar end sliders 3) throttle lock.
