Default First service costs

I had my first service last week. In and out in two hours, no complaints going in, and mechanic found nothing wrong with the bike.

Price was $US178, which I thought was very reasonable, at a dealer in Virginia, USA. I was wondering what you guys are paying in other places. My guess is $US250 in California, and about 200 quid in Old Blighty?

I knew that was going to be an issue. I almost consider this to be a warranty issue, and should be paid for by BMW.

I agree. Charging to reset the rev. limiter isn't right.

Well I guess that answers a question I had about how to get the rev limiter reset. Looks like I'll have to pay for that first service. What a scam that is...

i was quoted £100 by my dealer for first service and was told this was a price set by BMW
really should be nearly £200 but dealers have been told to charge £100
