You have to unscrew it and disconnect one of the multi-pin connectors to swing it to the side. Not hard at all. Change filter every 6K.

speaking of changing air filters does anyone make a "K&N" style filter yet?

Only one I've come across so far is a Pipercross. Made in England but now available in the US. Never used one by them so can't comment on quality or function. Waiting to see if BMC or K&N come out with one.

Fitted an MWR performance air filter recently... So much for a quick swap !

The design of the MWR item is such that I had to release the airbox to get enough clearence to install the filter assy.

Slacken the four airbox retaining bolts, tilt airbox back slightly and install the filter. Ensure that the airbox goes back onto the four throttle bodies properly afterwards.
