600 Mi Service - Quote from Dealer

My dealer quoted me $150 for full service which includes among other things, replace oil/filter and removal of break-in restrictor.

They quoted the "shop minimum" of $52 to remove the restrictor only. A 30min job according to the Service representative.

Comments anyone?

That seems about right. I haven't hit my first service yet but the service manager said it would be roughly 200. I am in Hawaii so it might be a little more here. I bet you cant wait to get that restrictor off.

Pay them now before they change their mind. Many of us on this board paid much more than $150. If you think about it, they will have you bike for at least an hour to an hour and a half with the removal of the limiter and a general check up, and I am certain the labor rate is at least $100 an hour.

I paid 196.54 about 3 months ago. $150 sounds really low.

Know someone in your city with a gs911 and a few tools. Pay for oil and a filter.

My dealer quoted me 240. They said about an hour and a half to complete it.

That doesn't sound right. Last I knew the limiter removal was a warranty item.
