Default Filters

Hello S1000RR drivers.. Im about to do my 6k service.. Im trying to go between the K&N or the BMC airfilter. Also Im trying to find a full exhaust system that will still be under 95dbs. Also Im trying to get a good security system other than the BMW alarm. Ive looked at the Lojack but in this area its not that good so Im trying to get the good word from my fellow riders out here...

Well, I have bmc air filter, regarding exhaust can't recommend anything as the one I have (Arrow Evo-II, not installed yet though), according to specs on web site produces about 97db with db killer. Regarding the alarm, I will be ordering scorpio sri900, it comes with perimeter sensor, battery backup, shock sensor, etc. Personally me, I can't justify price and monthly payments for neither for lojack or scorpio with gps unit as both rely on certain carrier signal in the area.

Sorry for the delay in reply (just found that you posted a question). You probably found your answer, but I'll reply anyway...

About R-link, great alarm system, has some unique features, however mostly I would use it as an alarm only. The "GPS" tracking system it has is bascially relies on cellular carriers in your area, and if you hit "dead zone" you may loose signal. Tha'ts the reason why I don't want to pay extra for the system itself and can not justify monthly payments, but it's just MY opinion... nevertheless people are happy with that sysem...
Regarding air filter(s), I can not compare BMC and K&N filters as I've never used K&N, but I've read a lot about BMC and it looks like it's pretty good competition to K&N. Personally I bought BMC because I was buying my exhaust and decided buy filter as well from the same web site to save on shipping...
And noise wise, there are a couple of videos on youtube, I may make one of my own soon, just ned toget some time...
