Sprockets - Type and Brand
Happy New Year's,
I've read a lot of threads about different sprocket sizes and what they are used for, but I'm still confused about quality, brands you trust, and where to buy those that fit the S1K.
Anybody want to give me some help here?
Thanks in advance.
Oh - and products that can easily be bought in the USA.

On my bike i got both Wortex and Driven size 44 and 45 in Aluminum, But the only thing i can say if you go with aluminum you my have to change that rear sprocket after 5000 miles,So i went with steel sprocket from Driven, that's my take on it.

I used vortex on my CBR and they fit okay, little extra slop. Then I got a driven kit for it and it fit much nicer. For the S1k I'm gonna go Renthal aluminum 520 kit. So I don't know how much help that was, but that's my journey.
Here's a link for the Renthals from a site sponser Link

Thanks guys.
I'm going for mostly street use and occasional track so long life is my main objective. I'm thinking steel or something like the Supersprox line (just saw these today) are the product type I'm interested in.
I'll look at Vortex and Driven as well. Any others people are happy with?

driven. Ive had good experience with that brand. I also am biased against Vortex. Bought a racing stand from them for my old bike that lifted from the steering stem and it wouldnt fit right. They would not make it right and replace the stand or try to remedy the situation.

I have used Renthal and AFAM and had no problems at all.You are also going to be pleased with longevity if you grease and clean it on time.I grease the chain every 350-400 km and clean every 1000km.

I am looking for a new sprocket/chain kit for my bike. I'd like to go with standard chain, which I think is 525, correct?
I'm also looking for a steel rear sprocket and this is what I found:
*AFAM/D.I.D. 525ZVM2 Gold X'ring Chain And Steel Sprocket Set @ drivesystemusa dot com.
My plan is to keep the rear sprocket @ standard size and go one tooth down on the front.
Are there other alternative/brands I should consider?
Thanks,
