Default 3rd Service 12,000 Miles cost

3rd Service 12,000 Miles cost?
I hit the 12,000 miles on my S, how much is the cost? I also need to do front brakes

It should cost you around $220. If you change the oil yourself, you can save about $50. The 12k service includes bleeding the brakes, which your dealer will do unless you tell them otherwise.

Another thought that if you are going to be bleeding the brakes is to change the fluid out for Motul RBF 600, a racing high temp fluid. My brakes started feeling "spongy" after a while and switched to this (also recommended to me by the BMW dealership) and it made a world of difference. Costs a bit more, but is well worth it!

+1, RBF 600 is the way to go, it made a big difference for me too!

If you're going by the book, a 12K service is essentially the same as the 6K service: oil change, air filter change, and a bunch of checks. So whatever you paid for the 6K should be about right.

Brake fluid changes are a year after new, then every two years.

The big hit comes at 18K when you have to check the valves, change spark plugs, and change the fork oil.
