Default Is it a good deal ???

Hi All,

I live in London and I bought a S1000RR Dark grey last year in july.
I took the sport version (shifter, DTC, ABS, ...).
I'm very happy with my bike and I wanted to buy a new exhaust system today.

After 10 months, my S1000RR is in a very very good condition and I need to do soon the annual service.

Today, I went to my BMW dealer to see the Akra exhaust...

But instead buying a new exhaust I fell in love with a 2011 S1000RR model with a custom paint (all black).

The dealer told me he could do a good deal if I want to buy it.
It's a sport one (with the same options) with a custom paint and a racefit exhaust.

I could have it for £13000 instead of £13600 with the custom paint and the exhaust for free.

The dealer could buy my 2010 S1000RR for £10000 so I'll have to pay £3000 for a brand new model and a custom paint.

Do you think it's a good deal ?

Thanks for your help and sorry about my english !

Personally I wouldn't. It's the exact same model with the same spec as the one you've got. You'd be throwing away the £3k your current bike has lost since you bought it last year for the sake of an exhaust which probably cost less than £1500 and a couple of painted pieces. Couldn't you buy Ilmberger carbon panels and upper fairing for less than £1500?

It's up to you my friend but I wouldn't. If it was a new model then it's a whole different story but it ain't.

Thanks Yellow

You're probably right.

In the next few days if I keep the 2010 model I'll have to :

- Change the rear tyre : £200
- Do the annual service : £300 ?
- Buy an exhaust (not the full system): £700

So it'll cost me around £1200

So to get the 2011 model the real cost would be £1800 (=3000-1200)

As I made around 3600Miles I don't know if it worth it.

Plus even if I like the custom color it'll probably be more difficult to sell it right ?

it's not the full system. No need to change the map (that's what said the dealer but he may be wrong)

I'm waiting for a new offer from Park Lane.

I asked them to include a full system exhaust Akra or Arrow.

Anyone knows the price of this full system here in London ?
