LOL... I hear ya man... of course, keep in mind that on Forums, you will almost ALWAYS here the bad and ugly. Not too many people post up a new thread titled "Road my bike 73 miles today and it didn't break"

And yes, some are sensitive to discussing BMWs in a negative fashion, but lets face it... there is never enough QC on anything made these days. You could always do more. But at some point, you have to call it "enough". Hopefully over the long haul, BMW did "enough". Those that are having problems certainly won't believe there was "enough" done... can't blame em for that. Sucks to have a new bike and have it fail in some form or fashion.

Have just had a week in the North of Scotland with 12 other bikers (including 1 other S1KRR) and did about 1200 miles with absolutely no failures to report at all !

There are a couple of trolls posting on here which doesn't help. One is a particularly corrosive pile of wind and should be modded out.

Those aside, I think the site is good place to get the low down, good or bad on our bikes.

Some of the sensationalist stuff and badly thought through arguments are symptomatic of internet forums and would appear in the UK as well as here. C'est la vie...

Could it be another case of its the rider and not the bike? That's weird.... Broke mine in over 4-5 days and put another 500+ on since 7-27-10. She is better now than on day one. Absolutely the most fun I've had with my clothes on.
