Default Ultra Light Weight Lithium Motorcycle Batteries

.

Mathematically They say every 5-6 lbs of weight savings = 1 HP Gain

At least that Seems to be the rule of thumb.

So with ever increasing ways to save some weight, we are now carrying Ultra Light weight Lithium Batteries.

AntiGravity SuperLight,
>>AntiGravity <<

and

Full Spectrum Power Pulse Batteries (P1, P2, P3)
>> Full Spectrum <<

Both brands are excellent quality.

The FSP Pulse Batteries have quite the resume,
Full Spectrum Batteries Dominate 2010 AMA Pro Racing
163 Top 10's
106 Top 5's
68 Podiums
25 Wins
8 Pole Positions
1 Championship

This is one of those areas where "what's good for racing" is definitely not the same as "what's good for the street". The use cases are completely different.

That said, I've been interested in these. Is there one that is an appropriate fitment for the S1000RR? Same size with/without spacers, terminals on the correct side, doesn't die due to parasitic drain (most of our bikes I guess don't have the alarm system), etc.?

That's part of the reason we didn't jump on the Lithium Band wagon right away. We wanted to get and see some long term feedback from customers who are using these types of batteries.

There is a large amount of different "Brands" of lithium batteries on the market.
Some made by a kid in his mom's bathroom.
Some made by legit Battery Companys.

After a lot of research we found these two to have excellent Customer feedback and reports. almost 3/4 was from street guys.

Of course, there are some precautions to take. These batteries are NOT designed to run on bikes that have GPS, Radar, Heated Grips, stereo system, strobe lights, ...etc.

But, for avg. joe who just has a normal bike with little or no accessories, they will work just fine on the street.

The recommendation for Street guys is go with the Larger of the Lithium Batteries, instead of the Smallest Possible one, like Road Racers do.
More CCA, more Ah, And your only gaining maybe 350-500 grams in most cases.

As for SIZE. Since these batteries are designed to not only be light, but small and compact, most will require a little foam to keep them from moving around. But, they DO USE the OEM Post, as in the case of the PULSE Batteries shown above.

A Huge benefit of the small size is you get more room in your battery area... for such things as a Power Commander, Autotune...etc

That saves the room in your Storage box
