I'm emailing Galfer now and will report back with information on how they handled my case.

I can say you will probably have the same issues as I do. They sent me replacement rotors as well as pads and its still there. I've spoke with amanda michaels, robert in tech on the phone and sandro himself via email previously. It took a long time to come to a solution and even longer getting them replaced. When I asked for my money back out turned into pointing fingers and placing burden on others. When I said I was going to brembo they quickly said that i would have to return them to the distributor then they would return them to galfer to submit a claim. Even though they already knew the problem. Once determined then the vendor would be issued credit or denied. This process was going to take a minimum of 2 months. If you ask me that is not in a timely manner. Galfer needs to address the fact the bmw s1000 rotor design is not working. I was in the same boat, I didn't have factory rotors to put back on. Going out and spending another $600 on rotors and not know if i was going to get a refund was a chance I didn't want to take. It sounds as this bad press has stirred galfer into the pot as they want to protect their image. In my own opinion they should have tried damage control a long time ago when I contacted sandro about it. Amanda told me it was out of her hands as he makes the call. When I proved the rear rotor to be thicker than stock they didn't care I had to spend $100 replacing my abs sensor it ruined. if galfer wants to come to a public forum and defend themselves how about answering my concerns to all the others interested in your products. I spent hours on the phone with you guys trying to fix the problems. countless emails as well as phone calls never returned. You treated me like I didn't know what I was taking about. My time is just as valuable as yours so how about we talk about this again!

I got peed off paying for phone calls to Galfer from the Uk and even more frustrated being insultingly told to keep trying then desperate measures. The icing on the cake for me was being told my rim was out of balance. I posted them back to Galfer at my expense, who then duly noted their discs were warped. They sent me a new set which I didn't even take out the box , simply sold them. There is a new set out there I think called SK they have my vote and look much nicer too. No issue with Galfer products, just these ones on the s1k don't work.

.
The OEM Brembo rotors do not have Carriers. So they tend to overheat, and warp when abused repeatedly. They're not really made to take a beating.
Good News, is Brembo Makes a High Performance "HP" Aftermarket Rotor Full floating with Carrier.
We haven't had any customers have any issues with these.. after selling nearly 100 sets over the past 1 1/2 years they have been out.

Can you please install the new Galfer rotors and pads and let us know if they work? Amanda is sending me replacement rotors and pads and I'd like to know if they'll resolve this issue before I receive them.

Galfer send me replacement rotors and pads and I've logged 450 miles on them. They're working flawlessly so far! They no longer vibrate, squeak or produce dark spots on the rotors from extreme braking. I'm very pleased with them and will monitor them and update this thread.

I have 1,510 miles on my 2012 S1000RR with Galfer front and rear rotors installed. I don't have any issue with the rotors and they're performing flawlessly.
