Just picked up a Black edition today. No pics or vids with it yet cause it was a "spur of the moment / halfway thru a case of beer / should never go to Best Buy half in the bag" thing. So my bike was quite sensibly parked and up on stands (added discouragement).

One thing to note though: the iOS / Android apps are currently only compatible with the White and Silver editions. The Black edition isn't going to be compatible until Dec. That is a letdown for me, possibly dealbreaker level, if I had known prior to handing the salesguy my credit card. I got the lcd backpac for my Hero 2 after discovering the impossibility of setting up the camera without some sort of preview.

Now it's back to Square 2 (Hero 2) until they add the compatibility.

Edit:
I hope gopro also begins selling the microsd / usb / hdmi dust covers. I can see easily losing them. I've already tried several times to misplace the one already.

Impulse purchase a few days ago after reading this thread. Black with a few extras shipping from GoPro in early Dec. Will become the big brother to my Hero2.
