Default Akra Evolution Exhaust

Out with the old....in with the new! Also installed the Bazzaz Z-AFM (auto tune). Now I can't wait to take it out and see how it runs. Gonna have to wait until tomorrow though.

Looks nice

Are you thinking of taking it to the dyno for tuning the Bazzaz?

Not many places to do dyno running here in Sicily, at least that I know of. I am going to run the Z-AFM for a while and see how it acts. There is a portable dyno at the track, but he wants good $$$$ for a dyno tune, so unless the map is way off I'm going to just use the Z-AFM. A full dyno tune is over 300 Euro which is about $450-475. More than I am willing to spend!

Great looking exhaust

You might want to look at removing the left footpeg and putting on a blanking plate as it looks kind of odd.

Both rear pegs will be back on when I get the correct bracket. My son and wife ride with me often. My son is upset he can't ride with me now.

Hi Jay,

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but was it easy to fit?

Also what did you do with the sensors on the down pipes and the servo controls for the valve on the original exhaust?

Thanks.

youve put on the additional Akra carbon bracket. The pipe will fit to std exhaust hanger.

Did you do the install of both exhaust and Bazzaz yourself and if so, how difficult was it?
Can you post a video with sound?

Thanks

The pipe will fit the stock rear passenger pegs IF you have the correct hanger. I bought this system used and it didn't come with the correct hanger for the passenger pegs and missing a few springs. Pegram Racing is being really great about this and ordering me the parts that were missing.

As for the install of the Bazzaz....very easy and straight forward. Follow the instruction and you won't have a single problem. Be careful using the connectors on the TPS and RPM. I accidentally "nicked" a wire and it fully broke about 25 miles from the house leaving me stranded. It was my fault and I (actually a buddy) found the problem right away. Again...Bazzaz very easy to install and use their mapping software.

Install of Akra....easy, but time consuming. It probably took 3+ hrs to drop the old exhaust and install the Akra. The Akra is very easy to bolt up, it's actually getting the stock exhaust freely down which is a PITA! If you are mechanically inclined than it should be no problem. Just set some time aside and do it correctly the first time so there are no issues in the future.

I am just now messing with the Z-AFM and went on my first short ride. The bike was no slouch before....but all I can say now is OH MY F...ING GOD! The Akra really is that good!
