Did you pay import duty? on AUSTIN RACING
I'm getting ready to buy my exhaust from Austin Racing and did you get charged an extra import duty in addition to what you paid during checkout on the website? Not the VAT that's listed but Rich mentioned that it's possible that once it gets to the US, customs would charge it on delivery.

I only paid the currency exchange fee. Nothing else. I got mine from AR directly.

Just fyi, I have gotten hit with a customs fee in the past for a fuel tank (not for an S1k). Got a note from the shipper to follow up with them, had to call customs and arrange for payment. It wasn't horrible though... maybe $10 on a $400 part. It probably depends on who opens the box and what side of the bed they got up on that morning.

Just placed my order. 549 pounds ($860 US) for the ARCS GP3 with V3 in stainless and 349 pounds ($547 US) for the carbon fiber belly pan. Total shipping was $178 US.

No import duty at all. But of course you know paying with a credit card will be processed at the exchange rate in effect the day the payment goes through. Great service and responsiveness from the AR lads.

Once I figured out how to call the UK he was really helpful! Turns out it's cheaper to buy directly from him even with the $$$$ international shipping!

got this email from a local custom motorcycle shop when I sent them the ARCS installation instructions. Does this sound right???
Hi Thomas,
Yes, we can do this. Since we have not done this before, the cost is labor
at $78/hour. I estimate roughly 6 hours for this job or $468, but this is
only an estimate and may adjust up or down in the course of the work.
