Default WTF!

I went riding yesterday...yes, it felt UH-MAZE-ING! Ok, back to my point. I am getting HORRIBLE gas mileage. I mean, my gas light comes on and I have only ridden 80 miles. I thought I could get like 125 miles outta this puppy. I guess there are a few questions to ask you guys.

1. How far do you go on a tank?

2. Do you fill up as soon as you can when the gas light comes on? (I do, I'm paranoid lol)

Maybe she gets horrid gas mileage during the break in period but slowly works her way into the 30's? I need some input please

I'm not really complaining, I think it's more shock than anything. This thing goes through gas like an M5 lol

I get 36-44 mpg.. Mostly moderate, occasionaly push it. I ride typically between 7-9k rpm's even on highway. On both the '10 and the '11.. haven't noticed a difference in the gas cosumption between both of them.

I consistently get 140(ish) to a tank. Fuel light comes on around 100-110 and is good for around 30 miles after that. I've run it to 0 miles on Tge countdown once and it was fine.
Are you running a completely stock setup or have you got a full system? PCV and/or Autotune?

I get up in the low 100's before my gas light comes on, then I get another 30-35. I'd bet the gas light comes on when you have around one gallon left, and so whatever the "range" is from there is you average miles / gallon. The numbers seem to work that way pretty consistently for me, but maybe that's just how it works out.

Yello, I have a stock set up. I'm not racing her, I just have a slip-on yosh. Is this typical of a new S1K or do I have a legitimate concern?

I usually get around 110-125 before the fuel light comes on. I'm running a PCV with a two brothers slip on.

It gets better as you go through the break in period

What tire pressures are you running? 85% of the time I ride very conservatively and see the light at just over 120miles. When I'm able to find 100% gas it does better than that. Pressures combined with more time on the motor will net better mileage. Remember you still have 1 gallon left once you see the light.
