Default Optimum Air/Fuel

I was wondering what was the optimum A/F ratio these bikes like to run at for optimal power. If some members could elaborate on their A/F numbers to see where the S1000RR is at it peak power but still within "safe" conditions. I think DynoJet said anywhere 13.0-13.4 is acceptable. Thanks for your input!!

Mine was set at 12.7 because of the very hot weather now in Bahrain, +43c and humidity is +85%
Different A/F ratio will be set for cooler weather which is between (Nov-Feb)

12.7 is fairly rich, we aim for 13.1 for i nice even power spread.

Ive spoken with Dan Kyle and looked at his maps and in most cells he is using 13.2 with a very limited number of cells (around 4-6k at 0 and 5%) at 13.4 and 13.6. He seems to have had great results, but I guess with anything AF ratios will differ by locations and specific conditions (temp, humidity, fuel, etc.). I do find it interesting to see the differences though.

Neo, what is the AF ratio in the preloaded map in the PCV? Is it 13.1?

Installed the GP3 and PCV last weekend and wondering if I still to dyno the bike just to check and be on the safe side. It's hot and humid here in KL, Malaysia

Yes target is 13.1 although we tweak for each individual bike. At 13.1 you are well within safe parameters. We never let things get much leaner than that on our road bike maps.
I would say your ok but if you are concerned then an auto tune could be the way to go.
