Well, without a dyno you will have to go with feel and sound. Backfiring and popping is definitely a bad map. Smooth throttle response and sound will have to be what you go with. Get a laptop with try the different maps. Once you get the smoother sound and response you want, take her for a ride. This will get you close but not perfect. But it is better than riding around with a bad map.

i do have a map in it that i got from hardracing( the best customer service i have ever found). the bike seems to be pretty responsive and runs great on the highway but is a little choppy in town at constant speed. was looking for something better all around.

Why don't you switch to sport or even rain mode for around town riding? That should fix the choppyness. Man I love this bike

i do use sport mode in town and is still choppy. even sounds a little rough in town. doesnt seem to smooth out until about 5k rpm. even then if i hold it there it starts to sound rough. if i continue to gain rpm all is good its just when at constant low speeds. and yes i love this bike too. i will live with the in town choppy feel and sound if i have too.
