Default Austin racing side exit with Ultimate GP can

My side exit stubby arrived yesterday and I installed it and the PCV yesterday.

It took a little longer than I had anticipated mostly because I had painted the stock pipe black and the ARCS system is a tight fit but the paint made it a lot more difficult. I had to take the headers off again sand down all the paint and then it fit well. Also forget to plug in one indicator and got a LAMP! error on the ride.

It is LOUD! I might just be very used to the stock bike sound by now but I used to have a TLR with a Yoshi RS3 system on it and I am sure that this is louder than that. This is without the db killer in. It was late so I did not take it out for a long ride but it felt great and the sound it makes using the quick shifter is something else.

As it was very late by the time all was said and done I did not get a chance to take any pictures or sound clips but I should have some up tomorrow.

I think it looks great, sounds great (even though it is a little loud) and is made really well. Thanks Neo and the AR team!

Congrats! It is loud but still responsive no lag. It must be due to the stock header. I also painted my header with black ceramic.

Sweet. Is the removal of the stock headers necessary to install the ARCS GP3?

Yes you will need to do that so that you can cut the CAT off. It would be very difficult to do this while still on the bike.

One thing I did not know is that you need a twelve point 10mm socket in order to get the nuts that hold the headers on, off. I went to three stores and non of them carried twelve point sockets. Then I remembered that I had a old socket set that I brought from SA at home and there it was, a full set of twelve point sockets! It is easier to get to the middle ones from the right side.
The radiator bracket is also a huge PITA to get back on. Other than that it is not too difficult just takes time.

Damnit. I thought there was talk about not having to take the headers off, or was I confused about not having to take the radiator off?

You might have been thinking about the radiator. You need to remove the radiator bracket that goes between the headers and then you are able to move the radiator forward enough to get in there to get the nuts off.

But for sure you have to take the stock pipe off.

Good stuff.

We tested today with the Gp ultimate can on the GP3 at 105db no killer, 102 with killer and with our all new killer 99DB.

New killer is available soon if you need to pull the db's down.

Power is very much as the ARCS previous version. Good gains through the entire rev range of 7-10 bhp over stock.

New PCV GP3 map now done available soon direct from sales@austinracing.info
