Exhaust leak. what to do?

any suggestions on what to use on the joints to keep from leaking? also need to put something where the exhaust slides into the collectors. have heard high temp silicone or thread tape(plumbers tape). dealer installed and didnt use anything. also didnt change exhaust gaskets before installing.

What it takes to install an Akrapovic Exhaust, or Most Any Full System...

BTW: I didnt use anything and used the same gaskets. No leaks

i have never used anything in the past either and no prob. for some reason have a leak on this one. did read the post from hardracing and tried to suggest to dealer but they "know what they are doing" actually printed off that post and took to them but they had too much experience to listen to me.

I had no trouble with the sealing of the joints of my AK exhaust. If you are needing a sealer, use Permatex ultra high temperature silicone gasket sealer. I have used it on the joints of my RC 51 exhaust with success.
