Default fuel economy with Akra exhaust

FNG here.

I'm looking at get the full Akra (stainless headers) system with a PCV.

I know there's a change in full economy from stock. I'm wondering what people are seeing. I realize full economy is not really a main concern when fitting a new exhaust.

I'm telling my wife that loud pipes save lives.

I have the akra shorty and pcv fitted to my s1000. but never ran it stock.
i have just recently come back from a trip to France and my friend who has a stock s1000, fuel warning was coming on around 10 miles after mine. a fair real world comparasson as we were riding together at the same speeds

I'm running the SS Akra Race system w/PCV and AutoTuner. But I'm running a 6-gear map that allows me to try and get both fuel economy and performance (due to different maps for each gear).

Anyway, I am seeing 39-ish mpg with a combination of higher speed cruising and some spirited canyon riding.

I haven't seen a difference between stock and with my Akra and PCV... I put about 1,000 miles on it stock and another 7,000 miles with the Akra and PCV...

I'm running long Akra/db insert in, I initially used the long akra/db insert removed map (there isn't one for db insert in except from Dan Kyle) miles per tank to fuel light dropped from around 110 to 85ish

I fitted my autotune set at 13.2 across the map and it took huge chunks of fuel out (and added some as well at some map locations) fuel is now back around the 110 miles per tank (to light) and it runs so so sweet and smooth

Moral?.........................get it mapped properly
