Default Very simple question on the O2 sensors and pcv

Well quick one:

Having the full AKRA line and putting the pcv tomorrow, how do you properly cover the o2 plugs sensors when you have disconnected them as indicated in the manual ? Do you put some tape or what kind of protections agains rain or whatever ?
Duct tape ?

Thanks a bunch for the small tip

Remove them at the conectors, they are not used. Won't throw a code thats visible, but will show up along with servo motor faults when dealer hooks up to ECU, if yu have a cool dealer no prob.

I threw some electrical tape on them just because I'm like that... not that they'll ever be used again.

Thats what i thought. But no risk that it melt wih the engine heat? Did you take out the sensors from the exhaust itself or just disconnect the 2 plugs?

take them out and buy two bolts to fill the holes iv bought two titanium bolts i had made as i couldn't find anything to fit exactly..........

i didnt like the idea of having loose wires dangling about and its a lot cleaner, plus u can remove all the little clips from the casings............

I'm not running the stock exhaust, so they got sold off with the stock exhaust. My Akra has an O2 sensor going to the AutoTuner and that's it.

Default o2 sensor

Thats interesting guys , i've just had a full akra system & pcv installed then dynod & both sensors where reconnected to points provided in the new system , i've picked up an additional 14 hp from standard to 191 , i do have the service warning displayed now when starting so i'll give it a few more kays to see what happens before asking the shop why , other than that it is a new bike that is very very quick .

With my exhaust (Leo Vince) and PCV the O2 sensors were removed completely from the bike. The metal caps that came with the exhaust were put in it's place. I have my O2 sensors sitting inside of the PCV box.

Before my tune with the PCV, I put the O2 sensor back on the full Leo Vince exhaust.
