Default PCv and loading maps

Hi guys

Will be mounting my Pc into my bike this week end but I am wondering if I can Pre load the right map before installing the pcv?

As I won't have a computer where I will install the PC

Let me know if possible ?

Cheers

Since you don't have to have the key on for the PCV to power up (the USB will power it up), I believe you probably could. You just need to load the software onto some computer somewhere and hook the USB up to it and it should power up. I have never tried it. Some PCIII's needed the ignition on to power it up... the PCV powers up w/the USB.

What 1000RR said. You can use any pc with a usb connection to pre-load a map before you install it. The software's on the disk it comes with.

Real easy to do with the included software, just DL the map you want on your computer then connect the PCV by USB and load it. It can be tricky so make sure you understand the difference between load and send, you have to send the map to the unit for it to load.
