Default Dyno Jet should back their products....

So I just got off the phone with Tech Support from Dyno Jet. I'm pretty Pissed. After trouble shooting the guy told me my O2 Sensor on my auto tune is bad. And they dont cover that. I have less than 500 miles since I installed the dam thing and now I need to spend another $80+. and how often do I need to do that? If I would have known that Dyno Jet doesn't stand behind whaat they sell I would have NEVER bought the dam Auto Tune. On another note how does he know it's not the circitry in the Auto Tune? He never had me test the O2 sensor with a volt meter, to say for sure it's the O2 sensor.
Does anyone know where I could get info on testing this O2 sensor with a meter?

That procedure uses the Auto Tune module to test the O2 sensor. What if the Auto Tune module is bad, and telling me the O2 is bad when it really might not be. I want to test the O2 BY its self. I will try to contact Bosch tomorrow and see if I can get some info on testing JUST the sensor with a volt meter.

They do back their products but the sensor is made by Bosch which creates a problem.ni still believe that they should cover one that is brocket on installation but after it worked for a while, I am not so sure. Did you try unplugging it and plugging it in again. I had a friends that stop working and this action fixed it.

yes I tried pretty much everything. As far as coving the sensor...I know if my cars O2 sensor stop working in under 500 miles and under 90 days that OEM would cover my O2 sensor.

So I know know it for sure is the O2 sensor. I took it off and pluged it into my friends bike with his Auto Tune. So now I'm stuck buying an O2 sensor that should be covered for at least 90 days like almost any other electronic products in the world.

Yes I have always used Prem. Pump gas. and the sensor is mounted angled and close to the top of the pipe. The mounting is pretty much ideal.

So I just ordered a new O2 sensor and i didn't go with the Bosch. Denso #234-5002 and NGK/NTK 24320 both have replacements available. I went with the NGK/NTK #24320 for $88 on Amazon. and it has a 12 month warranty.

Yeah unfortunately we buy the sensor directly from Bosch and they do NOT give us any type of warranty. Since the sensor is so fragile it is difficult to warranty such an item. Condensation in your exhaust, a short drop and the sensor is done.

YOu can purchase this part thru a local parts shop for cheaper than we can sell it to you. It is a LSU4.2 sensor.

these sensors are like $80 light bulbs. Treat them as such. I've had one Bosch last in my car for four years, and one die in a month. NTK widebands aren't any better or worse.

A year and 4000 miles on my bike, no issues yet. But the sensors, if you are at all serious about wideband tuning, are *disposable*. Understand that is part of wideband tuning. That's just the way it is.
