Default Are the stock headers Ti?

I'm looking to pick up an Akra shorty system and am torn between spending the +$600 for the Ti headers for what amounts to essentially a 5lb weight savings over the SS headers.

Thoughts?

The big weight saving is removing the catalyst

I decided to lose five pounds of my own weight and save the money. I bought a full stainless system. The only place I'm worried about saving weight is the wheels.....

The reports i hear is that wrap stuff makes the metal crack and brittle cause it holds the heat in .

The extra $600 to me is several sets of tires, track days, or ~1/2 the price of a great aftermarket shock. Not worth it to me personally.
