They are very close powerwise, I would say within 2 HP.

Both need a Power Commander to have the correct fuel mixture, the shorty will also need the upper injector adjuster, (SFM) as well, the long does not.

The short is VERY loud.

O that's not bad . I thought it was a major power difference. the noise doesn't really bother me. I ride mainly on the streets nd u need to be heard. Thanks fo ur help guys. I was getting a power commader either way. I just notice most companies made long can and really like the look of the short can

Got two friends one with the short and the other with the long...Im ordering the short for my bike...sound is awsome in the short...i guess performance is almost the same....I´ve heard both running at the same time...short is way to cool besides the long...

Once tuned they are almost identical. But we foundup here in the clouds, the short needs the PC V more than the long for what ever reason. ii.e. there is a bigger difference untuned with the short making 4 to 5 hp less but they are very similar after the tune (the long making slightly more top and the short slightly more in the middle but I am talking about 1 hp here and there).

yeah the short ones seem to have less backpressure so without tuning have larger flat spots..

Is that you MikeE? Are you well yet? I hope so. Not sure if you know but I will dissapear for a few months (ask Leon he will know), so if you are back home let me know and I will call.

We can't get the SBK pipe I am afraid. No info on it except it seems to have very short headers, with unique sump and quite long mid pipes with short link and can.
