Default Akra Slip-on Install Question

I'm about to install a short slip on. Never been around an exhaust job before. The Akra instructions call for some anti-seize lead-free copper paste and anti-seizing grease.

Do you guys use this stuff as recommended or is there an alternate?

Thanks,

Mark

Any anti seize compound will work, but the copper stuff is better than zinc. A tool supply shop or exhaust repair place should have some. I also use it on the hubs of my truck so that the salt doesn't cause the wheels to seize on during the winter. You may or may not be able to use it for this too depending on where you live.

The copper stuff is listed on several steps / photos of the install .pdf from Akrapovic. I'll go get a tube and do it right. Thanks.

Are you sure there isn't a small tube of the stuff in the box? When I got an Akra slip on for my HP2 it came with a tube.

Maybe I'm getting ahead. Box arrives tomorrow. Was planning the job based on a .pdf I found from Akra. If they include the stuff.....then I'm golden. Thanks.

Well this is gonna be a piece of cake tomorrow. Nothing to it. 3 parts with some paste squeezed in there. I like mods like this.

There were some Black Friday deals (that I missed). I got mine from Revzilla but paid retail ($799) minus some credits I had coming there. Maybe more discounts over the next holidays.

This install took 15 minutes and couldn't have been easier. Good instructions from Akra.
