Default PCV:Euro or us maps? What to use in Australia?

Basically, how do you find if you have euro model or us model. I am in Australia and power commander site list 2 separate maps for euro and us model. Is there a way I can find?
Thanks in advance

I lol at the PCV it brought it me here thinking it was for a Positive Crankcase Ventilation seeing if there was a difference as the US has tighter emission laws, I've heard alot of stories about a power commander through the BMW Techs

Get yourself autotune unit and let it make custom Australian map, and it doesn't really matter from which map to start as autotune will change it anyway...

To answer your question you need the euro map. End of story. Did you have to fit an 02 eliminator?

The major difference in the maps is for the different specs of fuel between the US and Europe. I am not sure how the fuel in Australia is, so do your research and see if you guys use RON #'s or what. Auto tune is great, but you still want to start with a decent base map and tune from there. If auto tune isn't an option, I would highly recommend a custom dyno tune.

+1 on this... as I said before, auto tune unit is the best way to go, in my opinion good custom map @ dyno will cost you same money as autotune (if not more) where as autotune will allow you to make fine adjustments and you will be able to have a custom map for your type of riding/for different type of weather or altitude. And having decent map to start with will decrease time autotune will need to have your custom map produced.

Autotune is nice (i have one on my bike) but it will never replace the need for a good map. If you plug in bad numbers for the autotune it will just tune to them as riding conditions change. A good map is a must.

The EU/US model bikes do use different fuel specs. And downunder you would want to use the EU map as stated above. Of course you can ask around and maybe someone one this site (from OZ) has a custom map (with simular mods) that the would give you to get you started

Good luck man.

Thanks guys.. I thought its Euro but wanted to confirm.
I have just fitted PCV as full system is on the way....while it comes, i wanted to run stock maps and see how it behaves before and after.
I will get custom map soon as full system arrives and fitted.
Thanks again.
