Question Another PCV question.

Hey guys,
I just getting a plan together for my 2012. I plan on a Full race Akra w/ long carbon can, BMC air filter and a PCV. I have a couple good tune shops near by for a custom tune.
1. Would you still recommend the Auto tune?
If so what more will it do for me after a good custom tune?
2. Is it worth adding the S.F.M. for what little mods I have listed?
3. Do you still need smog block off plates without Auto tune?

Thanks guys, I appreciate any help and input.

1) Probably not necessary if you're getting a good custom tune. I run one, but I'm running at quite a different altitude throughout a day.
2) No
3) You can either get the blockoff plates or do it the poor mans way w/little rubber plugs... you'll need to do this in order to get a good custom tune.

If you will need a DB killer in your exhaust from time to time, e.g., on certain race tracks... then a autotune would be a good idea

DB killer can change the needed A/F ratio, which autotune then will take care of

But otherwise autotune is not needed with a custom map

It’s worth to install the S.F.M. also because you can strengthen the bottoms in the range of 0-3000 . The PCV is responsible for the upper somewhere from 4/5000 ….And the bike will work more smoothly during all curve then. When I was analyzing this issue I’ve got the advice from the guy who responsible for some sport team bikes.
