Default Whiskey Tango Exhaust

OK. Here I go. Sorry if I am duplicating a thread, but I thought some might find this helpful?

Step #1
Stock BMW S1000RR with 1k miles, everything stock, exhaust, air filter, running on pump gas. 62 degrees in California on a DynoJet Dyno at Fastline Racing In Fremont. Result 176.8 HP at the rear wheel.

Step #2
I kept stock headers, safety wired open the upper exhaust butterfly's, cut out cat's all together, and had a Y pipe made to attach to stock muffler at local muffler shop. (Hopefully the photo is attached).

Step #3
Ceramic coated welded up headers with Y pipe which will attach to stock exhaust canister. (Hopefully the photo is attached).

Step #4
I install Whiskey Tango exhaust system on bike tomorrow. Back to dyno on Monday December 19th, at Fastline for another dyno pull to find hp # gain if any.

Step #5
The best wife in the world bought me a Power Commander PC5 for Christmas for the bike. Download base map, full Akro map I guess, and do another dyno full at same facility.

Then I will post that final HP #.

Any suggestions, feel free to chime in, and I will keep all informed of my progress.

Txs, Paul

Default Exhaust on bike

Here is a photo of the finished product on the bike. I will admit it is a little loud, but not much more than a full Akro system that my friend has on his 2010 S1000RR.

Off to the Dyno on Tuesday the 20th if all goes well, and I will post the raw numbers without any tuning. Final step is have a map made for it at FastLine, or down load the full Akro map on the DynoJet website to get me tuned in the ball park.
