Default Full akra headers with stock can, sound check.

Not sure if this is a repost, but... As the title says, I was thinking what will the full akra system and the stock pipe would sound like, I removed the short pipe and replaced it with the stock pipe, well here is a crappy iphone vid for you to enjoy. I think this is a good alternative for track days in case the worst happens. At least you are not spending another 800 just to get the pipe. Keep in mind that this is an iphone vid and the sound is not the best. It sounds much better in person.

I like that idea. Clean and simple. Does Akro sell just the header assembly?

What you should have done was dynoed yourself stock pipe/header and then dynoed after with the akra header to see what sort of gains resulted in this mod.

Im not sure, I have the shorty pipe, but when I first got the full system I went ahead and switched the stock can for the akra, you can say I had a slip on with the rest of the system sitting in my garage. Then I finally got around to install the full system and one day I was thinking that if the akra pipe fitted the stock catalytic converter, then the stock pipe should fir the akra headers. Mostly to tame the noise and as an alternative for track days. If I lay it down on that side then I just go home and replace the pipe at no extra cost. Just did the switch made the video and switched back, since there are tons of vids with the akra short but none with this combo.

I would've loved to, but Im really busy and hate spending my free time at the shop, I rather ride the bike, just do all the mods then get the PCV to smooth everything out and dyno. Find out the final result. Yes, its always good to have a baseline to measure the gains, but that bike is mostly used for street riding, so its power is enough.
