Cheapest S1000RR I've seen yet, on eBay for 11.5K Buy-now
BMW : S1000RR - eBay (item 160539680888 end time Feb-06-11 18:13:09 PST)
Hey - saw this on eBay, thought I'd repost here. This is 100% not mine, though, and I can't speak for condition or reliability of seller or anything.
If you buy it, though, be sure to introduce yourself in the other forum section

No warranty? Bet it's a "Salvage Title". But could be a damaged repo that wasn't insured and didn't transfer warranty.

$11K or so sounds about right for a crashed bike with a few remaining blemishes. To put that bike perfect again would probably run you another $3K, maybe a lot more if there are any tweaks the owner isn't mentioning. It's truly amazing all the little stuff that gets tweaked when a bike crashes - it takes very little to total a bike these days. Probably a good deal if you don't care about the blemishes and are willing to ride as is - you'd have trouble finding a new one for much less than $16K today.

A buddy of mine put his down at the track... Frame is OK, motor is fine, swing arm has some scratches, but is OK in general. Insurance totaled it... and he's buying it back for $5K. For him to get it going, he'll probably put forks, body work, new muffler/can, clip-ons, and some rearset parts. He could get away with ~$2,500-$3K to put back into it, but will probably take some of that left over insurance money and throw in some Ohlins... so for $5K plus the original buy back of $5K ($10K total)... he's gonna have one awesome Track machine set up VERY nicely.
