I'd check gpscity.com or tvnav.com.

Amazon or ebay then. I've had luck in the past with both those vendors, but maybe they've started losing money. Sorry.

PS: You can find great prices on the Zumo 550. I love mine.

Check this link out first: Placed order for a Garmin 665 There's a whole lot of Zumo info on their site too. Highly recommended if you are looking at a GPS. You may have to register to see all the info they have on it.

Might be a bit to early to buy that model yet as it seems to have random shutdown issues. Also, watch who you buy from. If they aren't on Garmin's approved vender's list, you have no warranty.

thanks for the info....

I am planning on going on a sports tour at the end of the month... I can live without the GPS... but I wanted to install my radar detector before the trip... I would prefer to take the bike apart only once to do wiring....so I was hoping to solve the GPS question before the end of the month....

I use Garmin Nuvi 550. It is not a dedicated motorcycle GPS, but is waterproof and costs much less than a Zumo.

I mounted it using the following:
RAM Mount Aluminum Motorcycle Fork Stem Base with 1'' Ball, RAM-B-342U
RAM Mount Aluminum 1.75 inch Short Length Dual 1.0 inch Socket Arm
RAM Mount Aluminum Flat Panel Mounting Plate with 1 inch Ball and Short Hardware, RAM-B-238-FP2U
RAM Mount Plastic Garmin nuvi 500 Series Mount Cradle

Total cost was less than $250.
