Got mine from A&S Cycles for $346-ish plus the hardware kit and a lock tumbler kit. Both of which could be taken off your existing seat if you don't plan on using the seat... Your BMW dealer you bought your bike from might be able to give you 10% off or something.

My salesman told me - not so much. I understand he may no longer be there now though

What I ended up doing is getting an out of state dealer (no connection to my actual bike purchase) to give me 10% off parts - that way I don't pay sales tax either, which can be a little steep in places. Have to pay shipping, but on an order of that cost, MUCH cheaper to pay shipping than the in State tax.

Yeah he told me $346 but that's a ridicules price! hell my solo set on my 08 ZX10 was $89 I could buy a superbike race tail for $189 get it painted acid green for $100 more and still be in it less then what BMW wants for a seat cap!

That'd be your best bet... (race tail painted). My CBR cost me about $180 for the cowl... the BMW cowl is a MUCH nicer cowl in thickness, quality, finish, etc. Not necessarily $375 worth (once you throw in the hardware and lock). No aftermarkets right now. The race tail is real simple to install, so prolly not a bad choice if you track it most of the time.

The price BMW is asking for the seat cover & accessories is just asinine.
