Default 2012 Valencia launch presentation

Been searching YouTube everyday for new footage on the 2012 S1000RR & found this little gem about an hour ago

Enjoy!

I thought this was a pretty interesting review of the 2012...(my Red one is "supposed" to be in next week....I can't wait)

Wow, I'm impressed. I can forsee another best of bike 2012 without breaking a sweat.
Now, do I want to sell my bike and get this one? I think 2013 will have some major and I mean major improvements. Meanwhile I'll ride my bike and improve the rider.

I like the vid and it makes me really want a 2012. More than likely I will get in the market this time next year when the dealers need a winter sale and they are not so stuck on MSRP. I figure that will save me some cash, or I wait for a used one next winter. I want new, but bikes take such a hit on the first year depreciation it's hard not to feel it in the wallet.

Not so keen on the new tail or paintjobs, and most of the midrange grunt is from them changing the sprocket gearing (which shortens the wheelbase too - same chain length)....just like they did with the Blade a few years back.

Will be keeping mine for a couple more years I think...see what 2014 brings!

Plus juan .

What is the cut off age for old people on sports bikes? I'll be 37 after January . Looking at maybe another 3-4 years on my 2010 model.

I'm 46 and I know people 20 years older than me on the bike.

I think I have too much invested in my current bike to make a change. Tempting though!
