Yes they replaced it under warranty.

you just told them QS didn't work as you prescript, and did it mel-function on regular basis, or just on track?

my worked ok afterwords, just wondering if it was some setting on the computer needs to be re-align.

anyhow, thanks for all your info, let me run by my dealer and see what they say.

I took the bike in and told them what it was doing. They must have plugged it into a diagnostic machine because they found some faults with the quick shifter. It took a couple of days to get an ok from BMW then about four days to get the part and put it on.
