When i first rode the S1000RR i was not very happy with the way the bike felt (coming from a 1098), i specially hated the vague feeling of the front end vs the duc but really loved the motor..... so i talked to a few shops and they all suggested replacing the crappy factory suspension and also recommended me to wait 3-4k miles before i do anything to it. So i am at 3000 miles and i can honestly say that i am starting to get used to it the more i ride it, it still doesnt have the confidence inspiring front end of the 1098 but it compensates with the strong top end which the duc had none. Overall i think the S1000RR has a lot of potential for a great bike, in fact i truly believe it is a much better street bike than the ducati and that is why my 1098 is collecting dust in the garage ever since i got the bmw.
Here is a short video of my last sunday ride just outside of Houston, Texas!
