Gopro Hero help!
I just picked up a Gopro hero and I'm kind of sketchy on mounting with the 3M tape mounts has any one used them and if so any troubles?
I know the 3m tape is some high speed sh!t but don't want to loose a $300 camera. I was thinking about making a tether just-N-case
Any tips or Suggestions?

I use one on my race bike and street... just clean the area w/rubbing alcohol real good, let it dry, then stick it. have never had a problem with it... just make sure the surface is flat or you use one of the mounts made for a curved surface if you choose something non-flat.

The Black Slider hold up Fine, I do tether the camera case. Just to be safe but had not had a problem. I also use the tripod mount and wingnut to the Techmount Stem Works Great.

Buy a RAM handlebar mount, a U-clamp, drill two holes thru the bottom of the plastic casing, also use some epoxy, get a 3" RAM ball extender and connect to your triple tree.
This was the only solution i could find after suffering bad vibration and one lost camera

Ditto. I have used mine skiing and dirt biking on helmets with the stock mounting system with no problems. I did just buy the hero 3D system and it is double the size, so I am worried about losing it.

does anyone by chance have pics of where they mounted there's on the BMW ( low vibration point on the front of the bike if posable)
I had the mount on my race bike in like 2 sec but it's a 2008 ZX10r and it has a big fat spot right in front if the clutch all that sticks out from behind the plastics is the lense so it should not buffer at all

I have mounted with suction cup on tank and tail above pipe with no problems. Tank shot showed only instrument cluster. Rear tail showed pipe. Personally, if I were using to film track time, I would rather mount on the helmet. Much more personable than on the bike. I did shoot some off-road video mounted on helmet here: Off Road Helmet Cam Video. Video quality is poor since it was reduced from HD to internet viewing.
On a street bike, the video would be much more smooth and controlled.

On my S1, I have two mounts... one on the tail that is stuck to the rear cowl (right behind the lock). And one in the front at the bottom of my MRA windscreen.

Thanks guys, afer hours of trying to figure out a good place to put it, I finally went with the very front where the ram air come to a point (the black strip between the headlights on the bottom) it will impeed the ram air when the camera is mounted but I don't care much i'll be in the twisty's and not at high speeds so I figured WFT

Sounds like a perfect spot to me. Post up some vids when you try it out.
