That race is a lot closer then I would have thought.

Me on box stock s1000rr vs 08 hayabusa, me weighing at least 65lbs then the guy on the busa and from roll-ons I was beating him by 8-10 bike lengths every time until my friend would give up.

Being from the world that works/tunes/race a lot of Busas: There is a lot of folks out there who "think" they can do headwork. I have tuned several Busas (and others) with headwork/cams that make less power than they did stock with a pipe. With that said, I have "officially" been faster on my stock bore Busa than any S1Krr to date (notice I say "to date"). But what makes the S1Krr so special is it takes a LOT of modification to a Busa just for it to keep up with a stock S1Krr in the straights ... of course, I won't even talk about the twisties.

Speaking of stock Busa's... every literbike can race and beat a stock hayabusa, but when you install the TRE or X-TRE chip which opens up much more high-end power, then the calculation will change dramatically, let alone adding a full exhaust system and PC or Bazzaz...etc.
there is no comparison between your stock beemer and mine.... Please refer to my videos in youtube channel and wetness how my bike cranks up about 212hp and 194rwhp and later on I even reduced more weight and added even more power including a carbon fiber wheels and ceramic ballbearings.
I hoped you will enjoy the videos.
Cheerz.
