Default 2010 OEM Forks w/ Ohlins 30mm Internals - SOLD

SOLD!

Up for sale is the set of forks that came on my bike.

They were installed by GMD Computrack for the previous owner of my bike; 1.0 springs. The bike was street ridden for the the first 600 miles then the remainder were track days - probably 5 days total. Sprung for a 160-ish rider, removed when I swapped them for FGRT forks.

I have receipts totaling over $1500 for the cartridge kit & installation that came with the bike.

Yours for $1250 shipped. Sell your stock forks on eBay for $900 and you'll have less than $400 in a mint set with Ohlins internals.

Don't tell me you're running stock suspension? I'd have thought at least the 25mm kit...

For those wondering about this kit versus the FGRTs... the 30mm kit is plenty.

I only upgraded because I needed to change spring rates and Ohlins is a sponsor with the organization I'm involved with. To showcase a sponsor's products, I usually put some of the upper-end parts they offer on the bikes I ride (ie, Penske gas forks on my R6 when Penske was the suspension vendor). Plus, as I don't race, I'm not limited to any class-specific rules... anything goes.

1.0 springs for a 160 lb rider seems high - I'm just clarifying that I'm reading that correctly?

Yes, that's right. Based on what I've talked to Dan Kyle about, the rate seemed realistic. I'm about 170 and the FGRTs he set up for me have 1.05 and 1.10 springs.

How do you like them?

I ran the Penske gas internals on my R6; took several oil level changes to get them right. They took some getting used to, it felt like they didn't give as much feedback as the Ohlins stuff on my other bikes (FGRT on the 1098R, 25mm kit on the 848).

I love them! You just have to ride the front really hard for the magic to happen!

Penske forks were the same way. There was no going easy with them - you had to ride pretty hard to get them to do their thing. It took some adjustment, as I changed to NTEC 211s from Pirellis with that bike.
