Check ebay and kijiji sales in your area for a realistic starting point. Unfortunately the mods don't really increase the price paid according to what I've seen actually sell vs. "asking price" or "testing the waters" price. Evidence of this is in the classifieds on this site. Just my opinion though.
New bikes are discounted from list pretty well as a matter of course now, so work backwards from that as another point of reference......

Take the exhaust, PCV. and seat cowl back off, sell them on the side... then list the bike at something around 5% from NADA/KBB full retail.

Thanks. Sounds like a good idea if I sell. 42 years old and have been riding for 20 years. Just lost a friend last week in DC. I am not saying this may be a wakeup call but maybe it is.

Wakeup calls come in all flavors for all kinds of things in life. You always gotta do what's best for you and your family.

Good luck w/the sale. Sorry to hear about your friend.

Sorry to hear about the wakeup call man. My old boss was broadsided on his Harley and has been unable to walk for going on six months. He's lucky to be alive...And he had LOUD pipes on too!

Freaking cagers, always trying to get us.

On a side note, I think you should sell it for $12k, to me

Thanks. Spent 22 years in the Army. Just retired in 2010. Conducted small unit operations in Afghanistan with the Afghan Police. Was involved in all crazy stuff over there. Combat is a high thats hard to come down from. Married with a 5 year old daughter.

That's not just combat, that's the wild freaking west! I just got back from a quick trip working with some air advisors, and even talking to them about daily ops is wild, let alone working the the ANP.
Thanks for your service!

Yeah...it's tough trying to balance riding fast and a family. Have you tried skydiving yet? It's a pretty safe sport, and you have a lot less other people to worry about that might try to cut you off or T-Bone you. For the price of the bike, you could get a LOT of jumps in

Out of curiosity...how would do YOU think you're gonna ask for this puppy?

Not Sure. Was thinking 15.5K because all the extras. Not sure if thats high or low. Looked around and 15.0-16.5K seems about what I am seeing. Wanted a muscle car.
