Default Me on the S1000RR on the Ring

Just back from a trip to the Nurburgring and this is the best picture I've managed to find so far.

You don't know how lucky you are to be able to just go there, for some over here in the USA this would be a dream.

I will someday take my Skyline GT-R to the 'Ring. If it made its reputation in 1990 with 280bhp, wonder how it'll do, now that I've tuned it to 700hp??

No way I'd ride a bike on that though - it's been done in under eight minutes, but variable weather, oil and coolant from car wrecks, and you'd have to know all the bumps and divots in that ancient tarmac, cause there's tons of them. I'd only go if the track was reserved for a bike tour and we rode in a nice, slow, large group (I think BMW does do this a couple times a year as part of a travel package). Like, I'd want to be riding with K1200LTs.

But that's the Nordschleife. The F1 track, where WSBK runs? Yeah, I'd run that

This was the 6th time I've been and done laps there on a bike...yes it can be dangerous but it is just the most exhilarating 13.5 miles to ride (legally )

Im pleased with sub 9 minute laps, but most of the laps were done on the Monday in the wet with traces of the oil spills that closed the track the night before.
