Default S1000RR shots from the track

Finally got to see one at speed at BeaveRun Motorsports Complex (near Pittsburgh) at the European Motorcycles of Pittsburgh track day.

Wow, one very sharp looking bike!

Boy, that catalytic converter looks pretty grim, doesn't it?

I do think it's funny that they still make you tape up LED taillights behind solid Lexan - they're probably more sturdy than any of the bodywork. Had that conversation with a tech guy at a track day last week myself.

Honestly, I don't actually hate the converter that much. What I do dislike is how the fairing is made up of like 3 different pieces. I would rather have a one piece like my Daytona 675 - much classier looking.

The S 1000 RR is almost identical to the zx6r, I just hope it isn't as flimsy.

Other than that one single concern - I really think the BMW S 1000 RR is a really sexy bike.

I think with the factory carbon fibre on the belly pan and the tank surrounds etc, you might just change your mind. It is gorgeous. In fact the bike as you see it above is NOT what you will receive at the dealer. The plain plastics, paintwork, wheels etc are all of a much much higher standard. If you guys want to see some hd pics look here: https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/press...tem=node__2290

The second set has the CF bits. You can zoom all you like if you download the hd version of the pics.

P.S. I have the part numbers and description of all the option parts but in German only. PM me with your email address if you want this.

This is the body work I want, it doesn't have to be that color or carbon fiber, but I love the long belly.

There is a problem. The full belly pans I have seen have no cut out for the side stand. I wrote them yesterday to ask if they would make a full one with the cut-out and got an out of ofice until the 28th. So we will have to wait and see.

Well if it's like most "track" bodywork, modifying wouldn't be too hard, but yeah I'd much rather have something that's just bolt on.
