Default Progressive Insurance

Who the hell uses them? They must be sponsoring this site, and they *claim* their average customers save money, but I'd be very interested in seeing the data behind this claim. Every time I have requested quotes from them (over a span of many years and many vehicles), they have consistently been the most expensive (along with Geico), and not by an insignificant amount. In fact they are a whopping 2.5x as expensive as my lowest comparable S1000RR quote.

I'm 42, married, homeowner, very good credit, no claims/accidents/tickets, blah blah blah.

It's amazing to me that companies like Progressive can make these claims.

Plus I simply cannot stand that woman (and that stupid lizard or whatever it is).

I'm 41, married, no tickets or accidents, longtime rider, multiple vehicles. When I bought the bike I checked with Progressive and Geico also and was also shocked at how high their prices where. I don't remember specifics but similar to your experience 2-4 times higher than what I went with.

I guess somebody's got to pay for the commercials.

I'm glad it is not us.

Those companies are a total rip-off.

In my case, Progressive quoted me a rate about 2.5 times higher than State Farm for my motorcycle, but are actually a little lower for my car and jeep. They definitely do not quote motorcycle friendly rates.

Zut! Not available in NC.

Thus far, Farm Bureau has come in the lowest.
