S1000RR calls for DOT 4 brake fluid and the Motul RBF600 is DOT 4. As far as working well, I changed my fluid over to that and the brakes have worked fine.

Is there a speed bleeder screw that would be good for the S1000RR? I have bleeder screws on my Honda and it makes brake bleeding easier.

Tiny foamy air bubbles stick. Those bleeders aren't going to dislodge them. Take a small wrench and tap the lines. The bubbles will rise. I see more people replace their lines and buy crazy stuff because of this...

They don't list them but I E-mailed them and they wanted to know the sizes so I ordered one OEM of each size used on the S1 to send them so maybe we can get them soon. i have them on my Honda ST1300a and had them on my GSXR 1K, gotta say they're great. 5 - 10 minutes to change the fluid
(F & R) on the GSXR including cleanup and not a drop on the floor. If I make any progress I'll post it.

My reply from SpeedBleeders

Ron,

The size(s) for your application is as follows:

Front.....SB6100 (2 req.)
Rear......SB1010S
Master Cylinder...SB8125L

When ordering Speed Bleeder consider also ordering the bag and hose Combo. The bag is like an IV bag. It comes with 30 inches of silicone hose. When one end is attached to the bag and the other end is attached to the Speed Bleeder, it makes the messy job of bleeding brakes neat and clean. Both are reusable.

Speed Bleeder is also available in 303 Stainless Steel. The nipple is polished to a brilliant gloss for that custom look. To order the stainless steel version go to "Secure Ordering" and at the top of the page you will see a box "Stainless Steel". Click on this heading and all the sizes available in stainless steel will drop down.

I bled my brakes a couple of days ago...really not a problem even without a speed bleeder, but now that I know they are available (thanks to your post), I'll look into it for the next bleeding operation.

I wonder if there is a way to bleed these by triggering the abs pump to cycle...i use vag-com on my vw gti to do this...just crack the valve and the pump does all the work.

Only gotcha is you gotta keep the master full...but that goes without saying...

When I get my 2012 I will investigate this. Would be awesome addition to gs-911....

Not thinking you can... the S1's ABS is a bit different than the other BMW's.
