Smile Vibration

How many racebikes have sliky smooth no vibration motors that crank out 193 at the shaft? This bike has no counteralancer to save weight , it is a racebike , I think it's fine the way it is?

When we weighed them the TM were almost 300% heavier.

.
4.5 ounces Stock BMW Bar End Vs. 12.5 ounces Throttlemesiter Heavy Bar End.

Knocked out most of the vib. Next step seems to be Dual Density grips maybe.?

Odd, I've had zero problems with bar vibrations. Rides just like any other bike.

I've definitely noticed the right-side heel-plate vibrating, but really can't complain about the feel of the right-side grip. I've ridden for hours without stopping with each hand just as tired as the other. Changing RPM, gear, or just pushing my boot up against the plate a bit more seems to do the trick for me.

Bike rides fine with no vibes when pushing on, vibrations only apparant when cruising between about 4-6000rpm, worse for me if the air temp is a bit low, it's much better on a warm day.

If you grip the throttle lightly whilst also lightly gripping the bar end you will feel the vibes more, oddly tightening my grip to grip both the throttle and bar end stops the vibes.

I feel it is not helped by the twistgrip design, there is a lot of play between the throttle and the handlebar, also the LH grip design with it's 'tube', maybe the LH grip would be better with a normal design grip?

It's not a race bike, it's a road bike; and it develops no more power at a given RPM than any of the other 1 litre sports bikes out there (give or take) so I don't see why it should vibrate so violently.

I have ridden most of the current competition and this bike vibrates in comparison.

Well said.

There has got to be something different going on from all of us who have or had vibration problems

Vs.

Those who have no issues.

I attempted to put on some gel grips today and what an adventure. Couple things to note. I don't think the clips are one piece. When I took off the barend I put a screwdriver in to see how deep it goes and it stopped about half way. If the clipons are two piece there may be some additional vibration transmitted where the two halves meet. After the TM's and grips if things persist I may try to address this with some type of rubber or something to reduce the metal to metal.

I bought Driven Superbike gel grips. I only did the throttle side today to compare and there is a difference. First thing to note is the grip is thicker so I think the hand cramps will go away. After I do more than an hour with the one grip I will let you know what I think.
