2015 BMW s1000rr Quick Shift stop working

Yesterday the QS just stop working, I read a few other post so here we go. The bike is still stock no Mods. I was coming to a light and I was off the gas, downshifting thru the gears from 3rd to 1st. I stop at the light and then took off and could not upshift. Its like its jammed. I have to manually clutch shift now. Question is there anything I can do before I take it to the dealer?

There are two contact switches, controlled by what appears to be stainless steel levers. One or both are bent.
Edit...Most likely, not implying this is definitely your issue, but it sure smells like it.

There are explicit detailed photos of this exact condition, on this forum, already.
You need to reach search Nirvana to see it.

Wouldn't be surprised if it worked again tomorrow. Had this issue before and the problem never arose a year later.

Check two micro switches under clutch lever. Then cable/plug on shifter rod. If that checks out, take it to the dealer.

OK thanks everyone but you was right. those 2 thin metal strips the lower one was bent. I tried straighten it out and it worked for about 10 shifts and it went back to not working. Why would BMW make something that thin to go over a small ball and expect it not to bend. SMH.

Thanks for the short term fix. Long term I guess i have to take it to the dealer.

They don't bend on their own. You sure you didn't swap levers out? Did you get the bike new? Someone may have removed aftermarket levers and put stock ones back on.

Well yes they do because I bought the bike new and still have stock levers on.

@bennymx mine has suffered the affliction too.
Mine was new, and no lever swapping.

I think I straightened it out one time, and ever since, I haven't had to.
Since then I made a conscious decision, to minimize the use of the clutch lever.
