Cheers all,
I finally landed my new 2016 black/red rr in my garage after selling my 13, been quite excited with the additional bells and whistles till an hour ago that I realized the red strips bought from the BMW dealer do not stick to my forged wheels... kind of bummer as the bike looks super cool with them, I was wondering if anyone knows any brand/link with matching red strips which actually "sticks" to forged wheels?
Thanks tiger, I used a hair dryer to warm up, at first it helped the stickers to stay on, five minutes later they just peeled off. I made sure the wheels are clean using wd40, then windex, and lastly rubbing alcohol, so I'm sure the wheels are clean, meanwhile tried the stickers on a nonforged wheel and the stripe stayed on nicely.
I have forged wheels and and have had no problems with mine. I bought them off EBay and just made sure wheels were clean. They have been on for 3 months and have washed bike several times and they are fine.
Thank you all for your help, I ended up buying the one piece rolls from Berts mega mall in CA, and they worked well! Putting them on was a PITA, and I wished they were the 4 piece... but look very good.
Cheers all,

I'm surprised anything would stick to those wheels. They are not smooth like painted wheels, which will make it difficult for any vinyl to last very long...
The good news is that the finish seems to be impervious to solvent (adhesive remover), unlike the painted wheels making removing weight adhesive much easier....
True, even the sticky ones I've put on can come off easily, but meanwhile 400+ miles and they are still intact, (although I see some loose points). Needless to say I haven't washed my bike yet after 400 miles.
