2017 BMW S1000RR - Post Pics - OR what have you heard?

So I was at Plano BMW today. The rumor is that there are so many 2016's not only on the dealers floors, there are 2016's sitting on the docks. 2017's are going to be delayed release until those 16's move out.

They tried to make me a repeat customer on a 16 OTD @ $16,900 fully loaded with forged wheels. Unreal the price compared to what I paid for my fully loaded 15 with forged wheels.

So anyone heard any rumors from your dealers?

Anyone needing a 2016 please buy from TEXAS because they are not ordering and they got 20 bikes to sell. I told them to call me if it happens that I can get one for $15,000 OTD but he said that is zero dollars made for them.

Salesman told me there is $2k in markup on the 2016 RR's sticker, fwiw. Sounds reasonable I think.

Gimme a HP4 street version pls.

Or maybe the logical thing to do is to get a 16, wait a year for HP4 to be cheaper and its parts more readily available. Not make the mistake I made buying 15 right when it came out.

From prior years, it seems a bit early for BMW or their dealers to start offering mega savings to move stale inventory.
If I'm not mistaken, all of the trade shows and the new model introductions, have already passed. BMW hinted at a non street legal carbon framed RR, the rest of what may or may not come to fruition is just a guess. With the exception of the first generation RR ('10/'11), they've stayed on a three year update cycle, for the pedestrian version. The first upmarket version (Hp4) was introduced in 2013, which was the second year of the 2 gen bike. So now we're entering the 3rd year of the 3rd gen bikes, with no news of any changes to the base bike, but a tease of what might be available sometime in 2017, albeit non street legal -HP4RR.
Cabin fever already in full swing, with thoughts of what if a 2017 HP4-R or simply HP4.

Need to find other things to hold your attention, before you nut out.
I recently was given McCormick's Smokehouse Maple chicken seasoning, exquisite taste!!!

What's included in your OTD price - i.e. taxes, tags, etc. What is your tax rate?

TTL, dealer fees waived with incentive demo type pricing on a non demo bike.

Texas is 6.25% sales tax on new car/motorcycles I think if I remember correctly.

If the OTD is $16,900, then the bike is selling for about $15,600 + TTL in TX. About 2 months ago, they offerred me $16,300 + TTL for a bike that was used when Nate Kern visited COTA. $16,900 OTD is an incredible price and I see that Plano has about 10 new bikes; only one is motorsports colors. Good time to buy.
