Have had this code occur 3 times now and only lasts for a few seconds. Timing varies from a few min after starting off to 35min into the ride. With scanning it just then my static voltage is ~10.2V so possibly an issue there.
Anyone seen it before?

Yes that's obvious. The code is what it says in its description "480863 : Supply voltage, overvoltage" But what is causing it. Crook battery? Or crook reg hardware? Cables were tight on the terminals, so I've ruled out an intermittent connection spiking the reg. Nominal voltage is ~14.4V so it's an intermittent spike
I had this code a couple of times. So disconnect the battery, inspect carefully the terminals. After you connect the wires to terminals. Be sure they're just snug, not overtightened so they don't break the battery. My terminals were eventually cracked.
After the dealership replaced the battery, I don't see the code anymore.

Thanks zoo. Yes battery health can do odd stuff with modern body controllers. I'm glad someone else has seen it. I'll see if I can save the battery for now before buying a new one next year when I get back from 6 months in the US. No point getting one now that's just going to sit there for months
has it sat for long periods before? like how you say it's going to sit for 6 months while you in US? that's not the best for batteries if not on tender, maybe your battery is going bad?
i've been looking at the battery tender branded lithium, $100 on amazon
edit: apparently no overcharge protection on the battery tender branded lipo, so i would not recommend it
Mr. know it all, some members on here run that battery. Works fine, but it does not have overcharge protection. Only battery that I know of that has it is EarthX and it's $240 :grin2:
I have ran SSB batteries in a few bikes but when I put one in my GS it stopped the automatic low beam on the headlight from turning off. Really bizarre that a battery would cause that.
Battery Tender lithium battery works just fine. I've had mine for some time now. Just make sure you get a lithium battery with a balancer.
